DJI has officially announced its next drone, dubbed the Mini 3 Pro. The new drone features notable upgrades including support for 4K video at 6fps as well as obstacle avoidance capabilities and more.

However, all those new features are going to cost you — as The Verge notes, anyone wanting to get hold of the Mini 3 Pro with a controller will need to hand over at least $759.

That represents a $300 increase in price over the Mini 2 drone that came before this one.

That will be thanks, at least in part, to the larger 1/1.3-inch sensor compared to the 1/2.3-inch sensor that was attached to the Mini 2. It supports the aforementioned 4K60 video and HDR 4K up to 30fps. There’s a flat color profile option for those who want to be able to control things after the fact, too. Photographers will be able to take advantage of that new camera when taking 48-megapixel still shots as well.

Support for obstacle avoidance is obviously a big bonus here, while DJI is offering two different battery options. The standard one will get you around 34 minutes of flying time while the bigger Intelligent Flight Battery Plus will keep the Mini 3 Pro in the air for 47 minutes.

Those looking to get their hands on the Mini 3 Pro can place a pre-order now with prices starting at $669 if you don’t want a controller. No shopping date has been given so far, however.
