Constant learning should be at the base of any profession as it help not only the individuals but adds to the field in a positive manner as well. This is why the recent news from the Pakistan Broadcasting Academy (PBA), is quite encouraging as such initiatives are not very common in the media industry.

While speaking at the closing ceremony of a three days training session, Children Education Programme, at the Pakistan Broadcasting Academy, Ambreen Jan, the Director General of Radio Pakistan has directed PBA to initiate online courses focused on the capacity building of professionals in the media industry.

Ambreen Jan said that the learning process should not stop and PBA should also arrange courses for people of far flung areas as well.

 

Earlier, speaking on the occasion, Director Programme, Khalida Nuzhat said Radio school is an important initiative taken in the light of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision to impart education to the children of remote areas and address the issue of providing education to children during the ongoing pandemic.

Director Finance, Raza Naqvi said that all resources would be provided so that these training courses will be continue in the future as well. It is important that these programmes are sustainable to be able to show their impact on the industry.
